Bolt Brewery Bolt Brewery goes way back. It was established in 1987 by Clint Stromberg, an original San Diego brewer with years of experience and expertise under his belt. The brewery operated until 1989 but was re-established 25 years later when Clint met Molly Rust, a businesswoman and entrepreneur. Having shared plans for Bolt’s revival, the two opened the new location in December 2014. The La Mesa beer garden hosts live music, comedy, and food trucks every week. It was Clint’s idea to build out the beer garden using repurposed sea cargo containers, which took several months to put together. If you visit Bolt Brewery, Stairway to Hazyville, a Hazy IPA, is their most popular beer. Don’t miss out on their special events scheduled every month.
