As the nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting independent craft beer manufacturers in San Diego County, the San Diego Brewers Guild (SDBG) has much to celebrate when looking back at its accomplishments in 2022. The programming spearheaded by SDBG is made possible through support from its brewery members, community partners, craft beer patrons and more.
Here’s a look back at some of the key accomplishments of the San Diego Brewers Guild in 2022:
45th-annual home brewing conference and competition to take place June 22-24 at Town and Country Resort in Mission Valley
San Diego, CA – San Diego has been named the site for 2023 Homebrew Con, an educational homebrewing conference and competition featuring more than 2,000 amateur and pro brewers. The 45th annual event, put on by the Brewers Association and American Homebrewers Association, will take place June 22-24 at the Town and County Resort in Mission Valley. San Diego Brewers Guild Executive Director Paige McWey Acers made the announcement.
“I am excited with a capital ‘E’ that the Capital of Craft will be the host of the next Homebrew Con,” said Brewers Guild Executive Director Paige McWey Acers. “This event is quite special for both professionals and amateurs within the industry. It nourishes and helps everyone flourish.”
The three-day conference will consist of more than 50 speakers from the craft beer industry throughout the Unites States and it will encompass eight tracks: Beer Styles, Brewing Process, Homebrewing Culture, New to Homebrewing, Beyond Beer, Clubs & Competitions, Ingredients & Adjuncts, and Quality & Sensory.
